SolarSPELL always partners with in-field organizations in each location to enable the pairing of SolarSPELL digital libraries with locally-based trainers for long-term skill-building and sustainable use in each community.
The SolarSPELL team provides initial training on-site, using a train-the-trainer model, as well as ongoing support and impact evaluation. To-date, our primary in-field collaborators have been US Peace Corps volunteers, who are stationed at remote, rural schools and clinics for two years.
Currently, there are SolarSPELL digital libraries in 15 countries across the Pacific Islands, the Middle East, and East and Southern Africa.
