Samoa

Education Sector

Samoa was the first country where local teachers attended a SolarSPELL teacher training workshop alongside Peace Corps volunteers, which was an idea proposed by the Peace Corps post in Samoa. We have seen many amazing outcomes from having been able to include the local teacher counterparts, at many of the schools we’ve been able to visit across Samoa, over multiple years. Samoa Peace Corps volunteers work in Education and English Literacy.
