Charging your SolarSPELL library

To charge your SolarSPELL library, set it in the sun or in a well-lit window with the solar panel facing the sun. You can check how much battery is left by pressing the power button. The display next to the button will light up red, yellow or green, depending on how much charge is left.

When I connect to SPELL, my phone says I'm not connected to the internet. Can I still access the library?

Yes, you can! WiFi is not the same as the internet. When you connect to the SPELL WiFi signal, you are not connecting to the internet; our digital libraries are all offline. So if this message pops up, ignore it, and continue connecting to the SolarSPELL library.

How many people can connect to the SolarSPELL library at a time?

Up to 25 devices at a time can connect to the library without experiencing delays.

How close do I have to be to the SolarSPELL to be able to connect?

If you are outside in an open area, you must be within 100 meters to connect to the SolarSPELL. If you are inside, the signal will be strongest within the same room as the library.

How do I find a resource I downloaded from the library?

On Android phones, you have to first download _____. To do this, set up a gmail account if you don’t already have one, and go to the Google Play store. Search ___ and hit download. Then when you download a resource, you can open ____ to access it.
