By increasing access to Arabic-language digital educational content and preparing teachers with the tools to show students how to find, evaluate and use information, we can improve the quality of education for children in Arabic-speaking countries and help them develop the skills necessary to make empowering use of the internet.

What's in our Arabic Education Library?
Our Arabic-language Education Library features an Arabic-language user interface. It is searchable in Arabic, Syriac and Kurdish and includes general educational topics in Arabic, Syriac and Kurdish for kindergarten through 12th grade audiences. The resources curated for this collection are meant for a global school audience and serve students, teachers and librarians — particularly in countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa. The Arabic educational collection combines with a regional collection to form the North and East Syria library. The Arabic educational library also features content in our cross-cutting themes — Information Literacy and Digital Literacy, Sustainability and Climate Change, and Gender Equity and Inclusion.

Teachers and students can also access a series of interactive learning modules to further advance their skills. By using Kiwix software to make online content available offline, we’re able to provide multimedia educational content from our partners at Khan Academy, Voice of America, Wikipedia and the University of Colorado that looks and feels like being online.
PhET Interactive Simulations
Explore nearly 100 interactive simulations for biology, chemistry, earth science, math and physics, all in Arabic or Kurdish. One of our most popular modules, PhET’s simulations engage students through an intuitive, game-like environment where students learn through exploration and discovery.
Voice of America Let’s Learn English
Certified American English teachers designed this course for beginners. Each lesson starts with a video showing the lives of young Americans and includes instruction in speaking, vocabulary and writing. There are also printable worksheets, assessments and lesson plans for learners and English teachers.
Wikipedia for Schools
Search through an offline version of Wikipedia — the free encyclopedia created and edited by volunteers around the world — in Arabic, Kurdish or English. Since the online version of this encyclopedia is crowd-sourced, our team includes only the most reliable, school appropriate pages in our module.
Khan Academy
This collection of math and science videos in Arabic from Khan Academy covers a wide array of topics for primary and secondary school learners. Created by experts, these videos are designed to align with trusted educational standards.
